그의 작업은 전통과 자신의 존중에서 시작됐다. 전통을 기반으로 작가의 사적인 정서를 녹여낸 푸른 도자는 표면적인 변화를 지양하고, 전통 유물에 담긴 정신과 형식을 되뇌고 있다. 재료와 기법에 대한 새로운 실험, 응용이 움트는 가운데 형식은 자유를 노래하고 작가의 번뇌와 소소한 일상은 유약의 틈을 채우고 있다.
The artist’s work is rooted in tradition and self-respect. Infused with the artist’s personal emotions, the blue ceramics based on tradition eschew superficial changes and contemplate the spirit and form contained within traditional artifacts. Amidst new experiments and applications of materials and techniques, form sings freedom while the artist’s contemplations and mundane daily life fill in the gaps of vulnerability.
