고연산방은 한국산 재래 수종을 사용해 길상(吉祥), 수복(壽福), 장수(長壽) 등의 염원을 담아 찻자리에 필요한 기물들을 만든다. 나무의 결에 새긴 기하학 문양과 동물과 식물, 전통 문양을 나무의 결 위에 산수화 기법으로 촘촘히 새겨 넣어 한국의 정서를 고스란히 이끌어낸다. 담박하고, 모던하게. 이들이 지향하는 바이다.
